LOS ANGELES, CA (FOX 11) — Photos and story by FOX 11’s Gina Silva
Country music lovers packed into The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles Thursday night for the “LSD Tour”. A four hour concert dubbed LSD for the first initials of artists Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle and Dwight Yoakam. The opening act was Yoakam’s protege King Leg.
The big draw was country music legend Dwight Yoakam. The 61 year old took the stage wearing his signature tight, ripped jeans singing and shuffling to some of his hit songs like, “Little sister don’t you kiss me once or twice, tell me that it’s nice and then you run.” Fans went wild! His music, a cross between country, honky-tonk and bluegrass has sold more than 25 million records. He has recorded five Billboard #1 albums, twelve gold albums, and nine platinum albums. Yoakam’s popularity started in the mid-1980’s with titles such as, “Streets of Bakersfield”, a fan favorite to this day. Yoakam ended his set with “Guitars, Cadillacs”. Overall, a great musical evening at one of the best outdoor concert venues in Los Angeles. If you haven’t had The Greek experience, you should definitely check it out. I try to go every summer to photograph some of my favorite musicians. It’s always an awesome time.
Here’s a list of upcoming concerts at The Greek.

Aug. 4 Jackson Browne
